I don't have before pictures to show you, but maybe these after photos will inspire you and give you some ideas for creatively making use of the space you have. We added the shelves so we would have a place for our books and supplies and bought the storage container for the bulk of their toys. The stackable crates were given to us. The alphabet border, days of the week visuals, calendar, and other learning helps were either purchased at Dollar Tree or on sale at Staples, Wal-Mart, or other places like that. There are three desks in the room.
These photos are showing the room clockwise from the doorway. Oh, and my girls love being in pictures. *smile*

Great photos. Where did you get the desks? My boys would love them and I'm not even homeschooling (yet).
ReplyDeleteYes, Jen, my girls are loving their school room and having school. They are excited whenever I tell them it's time for school. And I wouldn't doubt that the room helps. :)
ReplyDeleteHey, Sheila, I'm glad you liked the photos.
ReplyDeleteMy in-laws found the desks for sale in their town. Someone had several in their home that they were selling. You might check thrift stores and surplus stores. In our area, the public schools get rid of excess or older supplies at an auction.
I hope you find some for your boys. :)
It looks like fun. Thanks so much for sharing.
ReplyDeleteMy mom got her desk at a church yard sale.
You're welcome, Karen. It took me long enough. :)
ReplyDeleteThat's another good idea - yard sales.
I love love love your homeschool! Wish we lived closer. I would LOVE to sign my son up ;)
