These are some pictures of ornaments that we have made over the years. I hope these will give you some ideas for ornaments that you can make with your children.
These were made during my daughter's first year of preschool. The one on the left is (unfortunately) made of construction paper. Needless to say, it won't hold up well. The one on the right is made of the craft foam kits from Oriental Trading. They're very inexpensive. I'm not thrilled with the Christmas tree one though. As you can see, the red berries fall off very easily.
We made these last year at preschool. Thankfully, we were able to use a dye cut machine to make the Christmas trees. We used some old buttons that we had in the supply closet and some glitter for the garland. I think the foam only costs us $2. These were very thrifty ornaments! :)
My daughter came home with the stocking on the left. I think it was made with a kit, but it is made from craft foam. I'm sure you could also make this with cardstock or fabric. The one on the right is simply beads strung onto pipe cleaner. This is one of my daughter's favorite ornaments.
