Here's a little song to help get the children's attention and get them to listen. The teacher sings the lead and the children repeat the words in italics. To the tune of "Are You Sleeping?".

i love this song! i am always looking for ways to get my kid's attention especially when it's story time and he's ready to do jumping jacks on the bed :)
Glad you like it. Also, instead of saying, "children are you listening" you could say, "Sammy are you listening" or substitute whatever your child's name is.
You're so right. I should NEVER yell and tell him to knock it off, (oops) that's just not good mommy skills huh? :)

I think we're all guilty of yelling from time to time. I really try to stress first time obedience, but the kids aren't perfect and neither am I. :)
