Tonight, my husband suggested we play Candyland with our girls. We bought Candyland and Original Memory for the girls' Christmas. Both cost about $5 at Wal-Mart. I later found out that Target was selling them for $4.59. (Always shop around, even if it seems like you are getting a good deal.) Here are a few other games that are great for playing with the "littles."
- Old MacDonald
- Chutes and Ladders - I like that bad actions result in sliding down a chute while good actions are rewarded by climbing a ladder
- Heigh Ho! Cherry-O
- Dr. Seuss' Cat in the Hat Game - promotes early reading skills
What are your suggestions?

These are great suggestions - I've always loved those games (since I was a "little").
We are really enjoying the new Leap Frog games - they have the best stuff! We recently got a chest of Leap Frog games that include: a memory game (bilingual for that sponge of a brain); dominoes with numbers, colors and pictures with words to promote word recognition; and card games. The whole family is having fun playing with our "almost" 3-yr old!!
